Migrating pipes and data sources
Use the Migration wizard to move pipes, data sources or connectors from a source organization to your current organization.
Use the Migration feature to move pipes, data sources, or connectors to another organization.
Warning
Do not to make changes in the source organization while a migration is in progress. For example, if Folder A
is being moved from Development
to Production
, and someone moves Folder A
into a different folder during migration, the process will fail for that object.
In Varicent ELT, click your username.
Click Organization Settings in the drop-down.
On the side navigation pane, click Migration , and then click Migrate objects.
On the Select a source modal, select the source organization to migrate from, and click Confirm.
On the Migrate objects into your organization page, select the checkboxes of the pipes that you want to navigate.
Note
By default, we toggle on dependent objects. When dependent objects are set to “Yes”, selecting a pipe automatically selects related data sources and connectors. When dependent objects are set to “No”, you can only migrate the objects you explicitly select. You can also search through the list of available objects and drill down into folders or individual objects.
Click Next, and from the Data tab, select the checkboxes next to the data sources you want to migrate.
If applicable, enable the toggle in the Migrate credentials column for data sources where you want to also migrate credentials.
In the Settings section, in the Automate migration section, selecting No will not migrate dependent objects.
