MySQL import

Connect your Varicent ELT and MySQL accounts to import your data.

Importing data
  1. In Varicent ELT, select the Data module from the sidebar navigation pane.

  2. Click Import data.

  3. In the Third party source section, click MySQL.

  4. Click New connection.

  5. On the Connect to your Database page, under Connector name, enter the name of the connection.

  6. Under Host, enter the host name for the connection.

  7. Under Port, enter the port number.

  8. Under Database, enter the database name.

  9. Under Username, enter the user name to access the connection.

  10. Under Password, enter the password to access the connection, and then click Next.

  11. On the Choose data sets page, select the set of data to include, and then click Next.

  12. On the Import data page, review your data and select the data to obfuscate (if any), and select Preserve out of bound dates to maintain any dates outside the date range, and then click Next.

  13. On the Filter data page, optionally click Filter data to refine your data, or click Import data to continue.

    1. Filter the rows in your data by selecting the column to filter, the filter category and the value or text.

    2. Click Import data to continue.

  14. On the Review page, review the data sets that you are importing.

  15. Click Import data.

    The data is available on the My Data page.
