SQL Server import

Connect your Varicent ELT and SQL Server accounts to import your data.

Importing data
  1. In Varicent ELT, select the Data module from the sidebar navigation pane.

  2. Click Import data.

  3. In the Third party sources section, click SQL Server.

  4. Click New connection.

  5. On the Connect to your Database page, under Connector name, enter the name of the connection.

  6. Under Host, enter the URL of the host.

  7. Under Port, enter the port number,

  8. Under Database, enter the name of the database.

  9. Under Username, enter the SQL Server user name,

  10. Under Password, enter the SQL Server password, and then click Next.

  11. On the Select data page, choose the file from the Directory drop-down field, and then click Next.

  12. On the Choose data sets page, select which data sets you want to include. To obfuscate any data, select the data sets you want to obfuscate, and then click Next.

  13. On the Filter data page, optionally click Filter data to refine your data, or click Import data to continue.

    1. Filter the rows in your data by selecting the column to filter, the filter category and the value or text.

    2. Click Import data to continue.

  14. On the Review page, review the data sets that you are importing.

  15. Click Import data.

    The data is available on the My Data page.
