Table

Use the Table chart when you want to add tabular data to your chart dashboard. A table is an arrangement of information or data in columns and rows. For example, you want to add opportunity scores and a seller leaderboard to your chart dashboard.

You can customize each selected column in the Customize tab.

Input

The Table chart uses text, numeric, and date columns.

Configuration

Use the following configuration options to configure the Table chart.

Note

These steps give configuration options through the Pipe module. If you have already created charts, you can access them through your Dashboards.

  1. Go to the Pipes module from the side navigation bar.

  2. From the Pipes tab, click an existing pipe to open, or create a new pipe. To create a new pipe, read the Creating a pipe documentation.

  3. In the Pipe builder, add at least one data source to your pipe. For more information on adding a data source, see the Data Input tool.Data Input

  4. Add tools to build out your pipe. For more information about adding tools to your pipe, see the Using the Pipe builder canvas documentation.

  5. Create a chart from your pipe by clicking Charts on the canvas toolbar.

  6. Click Create Chart.

    The chart page opens.

  7. From the configuration pane, go to the Setup tab, and select the tool that you want to create a chart for.

    Note

    Whatever tool you select in your pipe when you add the chart is selected by default.

  8. Under Chart type, start typing Table to filter the list, then click the Table graphic to select it.

  9. Under Display Columns, select the column to use as the X-axis.

  10. Under Column order, drag and drop the columns in the order you desire for the table.

  11. Click + New sort criteria to add a new set of sorting criteria.

  12. Expand the Advanced field, click Show to select either Preview or Last built:

    • Preview displays the first 100 rows of your data from your last build.

    • Last build displays the first 1000 rows of your entire dataset from your last build.

  13. Click the Column sort? checkbox to sort the columns in your chart data.

  14. Click the Customize tab to add custom styling to your chart.

    Column customization

    Select the following customization for each column to your charts:

    Date format: If there is a date column, select one of the following options:

    • None

    • Short date

    • Long date

    • Time

    • Full date and time

    • Short month

    Background checkbox: Select to use the colour picker to add a background colour.

    Text checkbox: Select to use the colour picker to add a text colour.

    Bold, italic or underline: Click on the options to add to the text format.

    Column width

    Enter the padding for the column width or click the arrows to increase or decrease the number.



  15. Click Return to pipe to go back to your pipe. To view your chart or create a dashboard for your charts, read the Dashboards documentation.
