Importing from Incentives
Use Incentives as a data source to import or export data for Varicent ELT.
Integrate with Incentives using your Varicent ELT API keys. Do this step before you configure Incentives as a connector.
Before you add and configure Incentives as a connector in Varicent ELT , you must integrate the connection with your Varicent ELT API keys first.
Go to Varicent ELT.
Click your username.
Click Account.
Click Generate API keys.
Click Generate key. Copy and save the key you generate.
Go to Incentives.
Click the Model settings menu.
Go to the Integrations tab.
Enter your Incentives credentials and paste the Varicent ELT API key.
Click Save.

Set up the connection between Varicent ELT and Incentives as a source to import or export data.
In Varicent ELT, you can add Incentives as a connector for imports and exports. You can use this connection to import data from Incentives objects like tables, calculations, and data stores. You can also export your Varicent ELT results to a new table in Incentives or update an existing one.
Note
Ensure all data is within a date range between 1677-09-21 00:12:43.145224193
and 2262-04-11 23:47:16.854775807
. Varicent ELT doesn't support dates outside of the date range. If the dates are outside of the date range, you could see the following behaviour:
The date range will show the wrong dates if you don't drop or obfuscate columns.
The date range will show blank dates if you drop or obfuscate columns.
From the Import data.
tab, clickSelect Incentives as a third party source.
Click
.Enter your API key.
Tip
To get your API key, go to your Varicent ELT username, click User options, and then click Generate API key or Rotate API key.
Enter your model name.
Select your admin client

.Review the data source. You can also rename the data source from this page.

The imported data source is now available from the
tab.Before you set up the data source connection between Varicent ELT and Incentives, ensure that you know what type of permissions you have. The type of permissions you have will guide how you set up the connection.
Creating a successful connection relies on the type of permissions that a user has in Varicent Incentives.
Users with specific Data Stores and Data Tables permissions:
If you are a user with permissions only to specific Data Stores or Data Tables, choose Data Stores or Data Tables in the Directory drop-down during the connector configuration. All Data Stores and Data Tables available to you will appear.
Users with Calculation and View permissions:
If you are a user with Calculate and View permissions, and choose Calculations in the Directory drop-down menu during the connector configuration. All calculations available to you for the assigned Data Stores or Data Tables will appear.
Users without permissions:
If you are a user without permissions in Varicent Incentives, you will not be able to set up the connection between Varicent ELT and Varicent Incentives.
If you've already set up the integration and the connector to Incentives, you can add Incentives as data source.
From the Import data.
tab, clickIn the Connectors section, select Incentives.
Select a connection, or create a new connection.

Select a model to connect to.
From the Varicent ELT.
drop-down menu, select an object to import intoNote
The options available in the Directory drop-down menu depends on the permissions you have in Incentives. For more information, see Varicent Incentives permissions.
Click
.Configure the data obfuscation as needed.
Click Next.
Review the data source. You can also rename the data source from this page.

The imported data source is now available from the
