Abstract

Connect your account to export your data to SFTP.

Connect your account to export your data to SFTP.

Create the connection
  1. Go to your pipe.

  2. Add the Export tool to your pipe.

  3. In the Export tool configuration section, click the Connection drop-down.

  4. From the Connection drop-down, click + New connection.

  5. Find SFTP in the source options.

  6. On the Connect to your Model page, enter the following information:

    Field

    Description

    Connector name

    The name of the connection. This field is optional.

    Host

    The host name for the connection.

    Port

    The port number for the connection.

    Username

    The user name to access the connection.

    Password

    The password to access the connection.

  7. Click Next.

    You are taken to the Review Export pane in your pipe.

  8. In the File name field, enter the name of your file to export.

  9. In the Export destination field, select the destination to export your file to on your SFTP server.

  10. In the Create an export pane, add an optional Export name, and review the input and output.

  11. Click Export now.

    The export is created and you will see the export in the Export log.

SFTP PGP encryption

Important

Only a public key for encryption works for the PGP encryption in the SFTP export connector.

Use a public key to ensure that your export is encrypted.

Note

Before you configure the export with PGP encryption, ensure that you create a public encryption key.

Adding PGP encryption
  1. Go to your pipe.

  2. Add the Export tool to your pipe.

  3. In the Export tool configuration section, click the Connection drop-down.

  4. From the Connection drop-down, click + New connection.

  5. On the Create a connection page, select SFTP.

  6. On the Connect to your Model page, enter the following information:

    Connector name

    The name of the connection. This field is optional.

    Host

    The host name for the connection.

    Port

    The port number for the connection.

    Username

    The user name to access the connection.

    Password

    The password to access the connection.

  7. Click Next.

    You are taken to the Review Export pane in your pipe.

  8. In the File name field, enter the name of your file to export.

  9. In the Export destination field, select the destination to export your file to on your SFTP server.

  10. In the Public key for encryption field, enter your public key.

    Note

    If you don't want encryption, leave the Public key for encryption field blank.

  11. In the Export destination field, select the destination to export your file to on your SFTP server.

  12. In the Create an export pane, add an optional Export name, and review the input and output.

  13. Click Export now.

    The export is created and you will see the export in the Export log.
