Import your text data into Symon.AI.
Import your text data into Symon.AI.
In Symon.AI, go to the Data tab.
Click Import data.
In the Third party sources section, click Fixed-width.
Find the text file to import and click Open.
On the Configure import page, enter the values for any excess data and header. Click Next.
The file starts to upload with a progress bar to show how much is remaining to import.
On the My Data page, a notification appears to review the columns to import. Click Continue.
On the Configure columns page, you can optionally edit the following fields:

This feature is enabled when the Configure import is on. If the Configure import is not on, the system processes the data automatically.
Name: Edit the column name. Ensure that this name is unique.
Note
This field is required and cannot be left blank.
Width: Edit the column width. Ensure that the width is between
1and100000.
Note
The Starts at and Ends at columns are not editable fields. These fields indicate which indents these columns start and end at in the file.
Click Next.
On the Import data page, select which data sets that you want to include. If you want to obfuscate any data, select the data sets to obfuscate.
Note
You can also use the Previous button to return to the Configure columns page and update the configuration if you need to.
Click Import data.
The data is available on the My Data page.
Manual configuration
When you are on the Configure columns page and notice that the system is identifying two columns as one, or another error, you can manually configure the column to ensure that your data is imported correctly.

This feature is enabled when the Configure import is on. If the Configure import is not on, the system processes the data automatically.
On the Configure columns page, right-click the ellipses and you will see one of the following options:
Add column above
Add column below
Delete column
Select the option to manually configure your file. Continue with the workflow.
